Updatesssss

So, I haven't updated in a verrrrry long time. But today I decided to check how many hits I've been getting and was surprised to see I've been consistently getting like 30-40 hits per day. Then I saw that they were ALL from foreign countries. Then I remembered my friend in Spain mentioning that 500 Days of Summer was coming out over there. So I put two and two together and realized that this influx is coming from European readers who have just seen the movie.

So hello, European readers!

As for the reason I haven't updated in a verrrry long time. I changed my major to film and media arts and my production classes are TAKING OVER MY LIFE. I was just out this morning shooting interviews for my final documentary project.

This weekend I'll be shooting some footage for my autobiographical short film. It's due in a week but I dreamed about it the other night and woke up at about 2AM and started frantically scribbling out the storyboard. So I'm hoping my dream-vision for this project actually turns out to be as great as I dreamed it was.

I'm actually planning on starting up a little blog/etsy store/production company enterprise in the next couple of months, so be on the lookout for that. Expect some great posts/accessories/short films as a result of that (hopefully).

Also, just to put it out there, if anyone out there has any screenplays or film ideas that they'd like to see produced, I'm looking for a project for my honors thesis so send them my way!

My life has also been consumed by apartment hunting. By some divine stroke of luck, I'm getting out of my on campus housing agreement and moving off campus with my best friend. However, she is in Spain for the semester so I've been apartment hunting alone. And guess what? RENT IN DC IS SUPERRR EXPENSIVE. It hurts a little bit. But we're having fun brainstorming decor ideas. Be on the lookout for some FANTASTIC thrift store furniture makeovers.

Well, I think thats about it for right now, readers.

Over and out.

  1. Hi there,

I came across your blog, as you can probably guess, after I watched '500 days'. I always find it funny when I hear/see Belle and Sebastian references on American shows or films. It always amazing me just how many people their songs have touched and how far they have reached. I should probably clear something up about now, I live in Scotland.

Anyway, just wanted to say - liking the blog, it's really cool.

Not sure if you're still looking for film ideas, but I've got a few. To let you know a little about me, I'm a day-dreamer. Have you heard people say that everybody is the best in the world at doing something. Like someone is the best at cooking, and someone is the best at running or singing. I always thought that my thing, was being the best at being me, but recently I've started to think that I might just be the best at day-dreaming. To cut a long story short ... blah, blah, blah ... *funny story involving sleep walking* ... blah, blah, blah ... *crazy chicken dance* ... blah, blah, blah ... and there you go, it's kind of like a life-time-goal of turning one of my ideas into a film.

Anyhoo if you are still interested in ideas let me know

    James
